"Talk to me, Goose"

my roots

I've been a professional photographer since 1998ish and have always loved creating my own place in the visual arts world. Capturing genuine moments - smiles, tears, laughter and peeking into the daily life of my clients. At the end of the journey, not only was I capturing the spirit of my clients, I was creating a gallery of them living in the moment. My all time favorite moments.

In the summer of 2017, I was gifted a painted rock from one of my favorite clients, a four-year-old girl. It read, LOVE. I photographed it, ready to post on my Instagram including a small snippet of her sweet story. Before I knew it, I had tumbled down the social media rabbit hole, clicking on every picture with the hashtag #paintedrock. And, well, the rest is history.

By the afternoon, I had an impressive rainbow of fancy acrylics, paintbrushes for days, and a couple of rocks. Bob Ross was calling my name. My first projects - animals and food, obviously. However, I started exploring other important characters like Pacman and his arch-nemesis: ghosts, absolute favorites. The ideas were endless.

In April of 2018, I graduated to 2D painting - exploring my weird brain and strange sense of humor. I found myself painting food and animals at first... early Paintings included desserts and animals (mostly birds) and have graduated to a terrorist husky along with rainbow animals (including a steer, pug, octopus, and polar bear).
